TICPOZ is software for automating trading strategies on your own brokerage account. You connect a cTrader, MetaTrader 5, or prop-firm broker account, build (or buy) a strategy, and let the engine execute it 24/7 with engine-enforced risk caps. Software only — no money is held by us.

Is TICPOZ a broker, asset manager, or financial adviser?

No to all three. We don't hold customer money, we don't make discretionary decisions on your behalf, and we don't provide personal investment advice or recommendations. We are a SaaS software product. Every trade executed via TICPOZ is the result of rules you (or a strategy you chose to deploy) configured.

Will TICPOZ make me money?

Accepted Answer

No platform can promise that, and we won't pretend otherwise. Trading derivatives carries a high level of risk and most retail traders lose money over time. TICPOZ gives you better tools (real backtests, automated execution, risk caps) but the strategy you run, the market you trade, and the discipline you bring are entirely yours.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The Quant-AI builder turns plain-English descriptions ("RSI on 5m XAUUSD with a 1h trend filter") into the platform's StrategySpec JSON. You can edit the spec by hand if you want, but you don't have to. If you do code, there's a REST API + webhook system documented under /docs.

What markets are supported?

Anything your connected broker exposes — typically forex pairs, indices (NAS100, SPX500, US30, GER40, etc.), commodities (XAUUSD, oil), crypto CFDs, and US equity CFDs. We don't list or restrict symbols; if your broker has it, you can trade it.

Which brokers does TICPOZ work with?

cTrader: any broker on the cTrader Open API (IC Markets, Pepperstone, FxPro, Tickmill, BlackBull, Vantage, Eightcap, Axi, FunderPro, and many more). MetaTrader 5: any MT5 broker that allows expert advisors and our signed code-signed bridge EA. We add new bridges based on demand — email business@ticpoz.com.

How does the broker connection work?

For cTrader, you authorise TICPOZ via OAuth on the broker's own login page — we never see your broker password. For MT5, you install a small signed Expert Advisor that opens a local API channel. In both cases, the credentials we store (OAuth refresh tokens, MT5 API keys) are encrypted at rest with a strong, modern symmetric cipher. See /security.

Can I use TICPOZ with a prop firm?

Yes — TICPOZ is compatible with major prop firms that allow EA / API-driven trading: FTMO, FunderPro, The Funded Trader, FundedNext, The5%ers, FundingPips, E8 Markets, and others. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any prop firm. The firm's own published rules are always authoritative — re-read them before paying for a challenge. See /brokers/prop-firms.

Will TICPOZ stop me from breaking my prop-firm rules?

The per-firm rule plugin is designed to help you stay inside daily-loss, max-drawdown, news, consistency, and lot-size limits. It's a strong safety net but not a regulatory guarantee — extreme market events, broker freezes, or spreads can still cause a breach. You remain responsible for compliance with your firm's rules.

Why does TICPOZ provision a dedicated IPv4 for each user?

Prop firms commonly flag accounts that share an IP address as suspected collusion. TICPOZ allocates a real, routable, dedicated IPv4 to every user (cost included in your subscription) so every user's broker traffic egresses from a unique public IP. Same algorithm, different IPs, no collusion flag.

How does the AI builder work?

You describe a strategy in plain English. Quant-AI (a frontier language model running behind a PII-scrubbing layer) returns a StrategySpec JSON — a declarative spec the engine can execute and backtest. You review, tweak, backtest, then deploy. The AI never trades on your behalf; it just authors specs that you decide to run.

Can I buy / sell strategies?

A marketplace for published strategies is on the roadmap (private beta). Buyers pay a one-off or revenue-share. Sellers retain IP. We never sell anyone's strategies without explicit opt-in.

Are backtest results real?

Accepted Answer

Backtests run on real broker tick data sourced from the connected broker's historical API, with the broker's actual spread modelled. We include walk-forward and out-of-sample portions by default. That said: any backtest result is hypothetical — past performance does not predict future results. Every rendered metric on the marketing site is badged "Illustrative".

Why are the homepage numbers labelled "Illustrative"?

Because they are. The dashboard mockups, the chart overlays, the "+69.09%" etc. are stylised examples for demonstration. They are not real account results. We badge them so you, search engines, and regulators see the same thing — no ambiguity.

How fast is the engine?

Accepted Answer

The deployment worker ticks every 15 seconds, fetching candles + evaluating the spec. Live tick streaming over WebSocket arrives in real time. Order round-trip to a properly-located broker is typically 20–50 ms; latency-critical strategies should pick a broker server geographically close to your region.

What happens if TICPOZ goes down?

Accepted Answer

Orders already placed at the broker stay at the broker — we don't hold them. If the engine is unavailable, no new orders are placed and no stops are managed; manual stops you set at the broker remain. We publish uptime at /status and operate with redundancy across multiple regions on tier-1 cloud infrastructure with edge DDoS protection. We are not the broker; we cannot make the broker pause or refund you for our downtime.

Can I pause / stop a strategy?

Yes, instantly. The Droplets page has a pause toggle per strategy and a global emergency stop. Pausing halts new entries; you can also choose to flatten open positions on pause.

Question 18

What risk caps does the engine enforce?

Accepted Answer

Per-trade %, per-day drawdown %, per-strategy drawdown %, max open positions, leverage cap, news-time block, session-time gates. All configurable per spec. The engine refuses orders that would breach a cap.

How are my broker credentials stored?

Accepted Answer

Encrypted at rest with a strong, modern symmetric cipher, with the decryption key kept outside the data store. Only the order-routing path decrypts them. Passwords are protected with a modern, memory-hard hashing function plus a server-side secret — we never store or transmit passwords in plaintext. Full posture at /security.

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell personal data to anyone. Strategy artefacts you create are private to you by default. We do use a small number of third-party sub-processors (hosting, edge CDN, payments, AI inference behind PII scrubbing) — the full list is published at /sub-processors as required by GDPR.

Is two-factor authentication available?

Yes, TOTP-based 2FA on every account. We strongly recommend turning it on, particularly if you have a broker connected.

Are there per-trade or per-volume fees?

No. The subscription is the price. Broker spread and commission are whatever your broker charges and stay between you and the broker — we don't mark them up.

Is TICPOZ regulated by the FCA / SEC / FINRA / ASIC / CySEC?

No, and it doesn't need to be. TICPOZ is software — it does not hold customer money, broker trades, manage portfolios, or provide investment advice. Activities that require a financial-services licence are activities we do not perform.

Who is responsible if a strategy loses money?

Accepted Answer

You are. You compose, backtest, configure, and deploy your own strategies on your own broker account. TICPOZ executes the rules you set. The Terms of Service make this explicit; the limitation-of-liability cap is described in §13 of /terms.
